I was a member of Bolton Tri Club in the northwest of England for 14 years, starting out as a complete novice and working through the triathlon distances from sprint to Ironman. During this period, Heather very kindly coached me towards specific goals, including a sub 40 minute 10k (achieving a 39.51) & a sub 2:15 standard triathlon goal.
Heather would provide well thought out training plans, adapting the plans month by month taking into consideration all my feedback, time available for training and performance stats. She was always an email or text message away from providing help. I wasn’t that surprised on one occasion whilst on my warm down jog home she appeared hanging out of a car window shouting “I hope this isn’t one of your efforts!”. There’s no hiding place! (Please note – I’m not a stalker!)
I would whole-heartedly endorse Heather as a triathlon & running coach. She is as “hard-as-nails”, has “been-there-and-done-it” and always delivers insightful coaching with a proper-well-hard-mancunian-sense of grit & realism! Enjoy the experience! #Guts&Instinct

Heather is a great coach. I have been working with her for over a year now and have become a much stronger and more successful athlete as a result. I am cycling and running better than I ever have done and certainly training more smartly. I have had my best performance in a GB age group race since having her as a coach
Her training plans are varied, interesting and designed thoughtfully around my lifestyle and working commitments.
The Whatsapp + GoogleSheets method of communication works really well. It doesn’t make any difference that she is living on the other side of the world to me!
Heather is easily accessible by Whatsapp and is available to have a coaching conversation at pretty much any time. It is this ‘anytime’ access which is a real strength of Heather’s coaching package. She listens carefully to the feedback I give her about how I am feeling on a given day or week and adapts training accordingly. She takes a keen interest in any injuries and niggles I might have and offers useful advice about dealing with them. She is always encouraging and supportive. She enjoys hearing about my successes but is there to pick me up off the floor during low points. Heather has a great sense of fun. She strikes a good balance between being serious about training/racing and getting things in the larger perspective of life. I always feel motivated and re-energised after a chat with Heather.
It was great to be able to talk to her on the eve of my GB race from my Hotel room in Spain to discuss details of the race plan, give specific race tips and to put my nerves at ease. I trust in what she is saying as she is talking from actual experience as an elite triathlete herself.
